Raised in Dallas, TX, Andrew has strong roots in both country and rock and roll. Playing trumpet during his school days and gaining both Bandsman of the Year and the Louie Armstrong Jazz award, his love for Big Band and R&B has been a lifelong passion.
After spending many years in Charlotte, NC playing in both Big Band and community orchestras, Andrew began his small group career here in Sarasota playing in a 6-piece band and transitioning from trumpet to keyboards.
From there he formed Second Chances Band, a cover band committed to bringing their own take on standards from the rock and roll, country and blues genre.
Bob Peacock
Drums | Vocals
Bob hails from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and his musical roots are firmly planted in both Canadian and American rock and roll. His love for music began at an early age, as he was actively involved in music during school. Throughout his adulthood, Bob has pursued both guitar and drums, cultivating a deep appreciation for rhythm and melody.
Over the years, Bob’s musical journey led him to explore various instruments, but it was the drums that truly captured his heart. Inspired by legendary singing drummers like Phil Collins and, most notably, Neil Peart of Rush, Bob made the bold decision to transition from guitar to drums. He admired Peart’s technical mastery and showmanship, and this influence played a significant role in his decision to focus on drumming.
As a founding member of Second Chances Band, Bob played a pivotal role in not only shaping the band's sound but also in naming it. The name Second Chances reflects Bob's personal journey through music, embodying the idea of fresh starts and embracing new opportunities, much like his shift from guitar to drums.
Now, Bob brings a unique energy to the band as a drummer, with his passion for music and commitment to creating powerful rhythms. His drumming style blends precision with raw emotion, making each performance an unforgettable experience for the audience.
